Darlie Routier

Ep 07: Darlie Routier was convicted of the 1996 murder of her two small children, Damon and Devon, but she has always adamantly maintained her innocence. Did this seemingly happy housewife and mother commit this brutal act or did tunnel vision taint the investigation from the start?

First, really enjoy the podcast. Second, I’m a civil litigator so there may be different procedural rules, but why didn’t Routier’s defense counsel seek to enter more of the video of the cemetery event, ie, show to the jury that Routier was crying for much of the day? Third, why didn’t Routier’s counsel call a trauma surgeon or an emergency medicine physician to explain that her injuries weren’t consistent with self-infliction?

Awm

Who cares if she spent time grieving at the Graves? She doesn’t get credit for the things she is supposed to do, it’s the wacky and disturbing carefree celebrant on at the Graves that is what’s important.
