Ep 394: A woman dies in a motor vehicle accident, but while police ruled it a horrible tragedy, her loved ones believe she was the victim of foul play… This is the Morgan Patten story.
Morgan Patton was a driven geoscience student and engaged fiancée traveling from Martha’s Vineyard to visit her partner at Camp Geiger in North Carolina. Her journey ended in tragedy when she was found deceased in a high-speed vehicle crash near an Applebee’s, where she had spent her final evening. While police initially classified the incident as a simple DWI accident involving Marines Hunter Wells and Charles Cornwall, Morgan’s family and friends found the official narrative deeply troubling. They pointed to inconsistencies in the men’s stories, the lack of a secured crime scene, and Morgan’s cautious nature as evidence of foul play.
