SELF! provides vital programs and services for women re-entering the community after incarceration and other traumatic circumstances. Their objective is to coach women in maintaining a safe and productive lifestyle, contribute to their communities economically, and cultivate a mindset that allows for all women to flourish.
Mothers In Charge
Founded by a woman whose son was murdered during an altercation over a parking space.
Mothers In Charge advocates for families affected by violence and provides counseling and grief support services for families when a loved one has been murdered. They are comprised of impassioned mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters and others who are committed to working towards saving lives and preventing another mother from experiencing this terrible tragedy.
